About the Foundation

Working together to improve health and quality of life.

The TrueMed Foundation brings together patients, communities, healthcare professionals, researchers and partners to address unmet health needs through practical, evidence-informed solutions.

Our Story

Why we were established.

The TrueMed Foundation was established to improve health and quality of life by addressing challenges that can prevent individuals and communities from achieving better health outcomes.

Across Australia's healthcare system, gaps in knowledge, access, support and understanding continue to affect people's ability to receive appropriate care and make informed health decisions.

The Foundation was created to help bridge these gaps by bringing together patients, communities, healthcare professionals, researchers, organisations and partners to support practical, evidence-informed solutions.

Our Commitment to Improving Quality of Life

We believe health is more than treating illness. It includes the ability for individuals to access appropriate care, receive reliable information, participate in their health decisions and maintain physical, mental and social wellbeing. The Foundation is committed to supporting initiatives that improve health outcomes, strengthen wellbeing and enhance quality of life for individuals, families and communities.

Supporting Patients and Communities

Patients and communities are at the centre of everything we do. The Foundation seeks to understand real-world health challenges and support initiatives that empower people through improved access, education, community connection and meaningful participation in improving health outcomes. We believe better health outcomes are achieved when patients and communities are active partners in healthcare.

Addressing Unmet Health Needs

The Foundation focuses on unmet health needs, gaps in knowledge, barriers to equitable access, emerging health challenges and opportunities to improve healthcare outcomes. Rather than duplicating existing services, we work collaboratively where additional focus, innovation or partnership can create value.

Creating Meaningful Public Benefit

As a not-for-profit organisation, the Foundation exists to create positive outcomes for individuals and communities — advancing health and wellbeing, improving equitable access, supporting education and health literacy, supporting community wellbeing, facilitating collaboration, and enabling research and innovation.
